Works wonderfully over our gas range. We had the hood vented outside. Until clears the smoke and smell. High is a bit loud, but it moves alot of air to make up for the noise.

This hood has met expectations. Was concerned with many reviews about how loud it is, however, I thought it would be much worse after reading so many reviews, and we have no problem with the sound. Vented to the outside and seems powerful. Thought about making it ductless but was not able to get the insert. Be sure you look into that before purchasing. Glad we vented to the outside.

Lawnmower and a leaf blower put togetber to resemble a kitchen hood, is what i call this product. I wear a ear muffler in the kitchen when the hood is on.Frigidaire, unless u have a solution don't you even dare offer me a canned message like "thank u for your input. We have our tech working to improve the product". Tell us how to fix it or do a recall.

Looks great in the kitchen, and functions well.Loud at the highest setting, but we typically use a lower setting, and it is not too loud. A little tricky to clean the canopy without leaving streak marks. But overall we are happy with this fan.

The hood mostly does what it's meant to do, but still not very happy with it.It is extremely noisy, even on the lowest fan setting, but deafening on the highest setting.The filters don't line up correctly when installed, and the whole thing appears to be made out of extremely thin and flimsy metal.Disappointing.

In the specification, the sound level is 69.9 dBA and I checked with the customer service that the range is 58.5-69.9 dBA (1-3 speeds). Mine actual sound is from 72 dBA-82 dBA I talked with customer service again about the loud sound and here is the reply. "This may just be how they are manufactured, and unfortunately, I do not manufacture the units. I have no other suggestions as to why it is louder than specified"Given there are so many people complaining about the loud sound, I am very confused why the specification is so different from the actual sound level.

I would NOT recommend this hood. It's so incredibly loud on the lowest setting you can't hear yourself think. I'm renovating my home and unfortunately my GC installed the hood past the return window or it would be going back. It looks nice, but it's of zero use due to the noise. Very disappointed and a waste of money.

Overall the hood does a decent job removing, steam, smoke and grease however only on the highest 2 settings. The only complaint is the highest two settings are too loud, especially the highest.

This hood came with our new house. It is a true vent to the outside, it really does a great job! We upgraded the lights to an LED bulb and love it. Our only complaint is that even on the lowest speed...you can't hear yourself think. At just over a year old, we also just noticed that all the markings under the buttons just seemed to rub off and disappear. Obviously still usable, and I know what button does what....but really?
